XPoster supports a number of user role specific permissions that help you control what your active users are allowed to do.

There are five configurable permissions. Administrators always have permission to do everything.

Can send Status updates

Allows a user to send status updates to all connected services. This controls whether the XPoster metabox is present in the post editor.

Set Custom Status Update when creating a post

Grants access to writing a custom status update and configuring custom status update parameters. Without this permission, all status updates will be sent using the templates configured in settings.

Toggle the Post/Don’t Post option

Allows the author to control whether a given edit action will trigger a status update. Without this option, status updates will be sent exclusively based on the default settings in the admin.

Can see Update Now button

Allows the author to send an on-demand status update for a post without publishing or editing the post.

Allow user to authenticate with services

Grants users with this role the ability to connect their user profiles to their own status update accounts, making their accounts available for sending status updates.
